I've grown comfortable with having my privacy. All you have to do is comment down there saying where you found me from and why you'd like to friend me and I'll add you right away. I don't have an age limit because I believe some teenagers can be more mature than adult counterparts. But I do have one rule, if you're one of the -isms ex. racism, sexism, or you identify as a one of the -phobes, I'd really appreciate if you didn't add me as I'm not only black, I'm a female and I identify as bisexual and I have a disability.

Fanfiction and other fannish stuff is out in the open though, so need to friend for those.

As lovers, the difference between men and women is that women can love all day long, but men only at times.-W. Somerset Maugham

So I usually, steadfastly write female protagonists. I know women right? I want to explore the lives of women after all.

But what happens when the character you're most interested in is the male? Existential crisis? Writer's block?

Nah. Maybe if this was a few months ago, then I'd be like that. But nah. I'm actually excited. I'm loving this character.

He reminds me of myself. Raised by a single mom. He longs for his absentee dad. He's the life of the party, but inside he's got all of THESE INTENSE FEELINGS AND PASSIONS.

Is he a Byronic hero? Idek. He very well could be. I never thought of that. He doesn't brood as of yet though ha.

Two new poems up at le website. Check them out if you please. But *Trigger warning* they talk about death. not like graphic or anything tho.

They are short as always and I have pictures on them but for some reason my theme doesn't show them, but I love how simple the theme is so whatevs.

I don't know exactly what made me order Warsan Shire's chapbook, but reading it definitely had an impact on me. I found myself thinking about her poems tonight and I was look up the quotes on goodreads when I came across Questions for the Woman I Was Last Night. God if this poem is not me. It definitely describes me and my relationships to a T and that's why I love it so. I hope you guys like it too!

I had an idea for a more substantive blog article (notice I said article, not post haha). This one I hope will help people that have trouble visualizing like me. The title is How to Make Your Learning Style Working for Your Writing Practice. I should have it up this evening and definitely by the midnight hours lol.

I'm keeping the basic story intact, but I'm revising names and all that. I didn't like the old names. They didn't flow well and I think I've grown a slight bit more in my character names.

Daniyel Everart ---> Maxian le Renaulf
Jean Michel Everart ------> Gerard le Renaulf
Elisabetta de Loacharno --------> Romanda de la Marietti
Lucille Everart-------> Cahlette le Renaulf

There is another supporting character who is entirely new. She's currently going by the name Dora but again I used my old naming method for her.

Also trying to think of a new name for the continent there are on. Right now in my notes, I am calling it Kentrole. I like it because it kinda sounds like control *Janet Jackson voice*

{Take the 100 Things challenge!}

Hi yall! I haven't done since April according to my last post. I haven't been reading as much poetry and most of you know this year has been hectic for me, but I would like to pick this back up. I was just flipping through the collected poems by Audre Lorde and I came across the poem But What Can You Teach My Daughter. I had originally been seeking Hanging Fire, but it didn't really have that umph. When I really like a poem I have a visceral reaction to it. I looked on the next page and started to read this one and I had that: OHHH. I make that sound whenever I read a poem that really has that umph at least for me haha. So here it is.

A poet is the most unpoetical of anything in existence; because he has no identity — he is continually informing — and filling some other body.-John Keats

Maya Angelou on writing poems.

Like a pianist runs her fingers over the keys, I'll search my mind for what to say. Now, the poem may want you to write it. And then sometimes you see a situation and think, "I'd like to write about that." Those are two different ways of being approached by a poem, or approaching a poem. source
